SHIPPING POLICY

Last updated: September 11, 2026

Order Processing

Orders are normally dispatched within 2–5 working days.

During sales, major release campaigns or periods of unusually high order volume, dispatch may take up to 14 days.

Any delivery estimate shown at checkout is an estimate and not a guaranteed delivery date unless expressly stated otherwise.

Shipping Services

Orders are primarily dispatched using Royal Mail.

The shipping services available at checkout depend on destination, parcel weight and order size.

Low-value international orders may qualify for an Untracked service. Larger international orders are restricted to Tracked shipping.

Tracked Shipping

Tracked shipping provides carrier tracking and delivery information where supported by the destination postal operator.

Tracking details are supplied after dispatch.

Customers requiring shipment visibility or delivery confirmation should select a Tracked service.

Untracked Shipping

Untracked shipping is provided on eligible low-value international orders to keep shipping costs proportionate to the value of the order.

Untracked services provide no end-to-end tracking and no delivery confirmation.

By deliberately selecting an Untracked service, you acknowledge the increased practical risk of delay or loss and acknowledge that Lifeless Chasm Records will not be able to provide tracking updates or locate the parcel while it is in transit.

Proof of posting and dispatch records are retained where available.

A parcel will not automatically be treated as lost merely because the estimated delivery period has passed. Reported non-delivery will be handled using the relevant postal operator's loss procedures and applicable waiting periods.

Claims or payment disputes relating to delivery may be contested using the customer's selected shipping method, proof of posting, order records, correspondence and any other available evidence.

The use of an Untracked service does not remove statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Delivery Risk

Under applicable consumer law, legal responsibility for goods in transit cannot be excluded where the law provides otherwise.

The warnings attached to Untracked shipping are intended to make the practical limitations of the selected service clear and to record the customer's informed shipping choice.

Delivery Delays

International mail can be delayed by customs processing, local postal networks, peak-season demand, industrial action, adverse weather or other events outside our reasonable control.

A delayed parcel is not necessarily a lost parcel.

Please do not open duplicate enquiries or payment disputes solely because an estimated delivery date has passed while the shipment remains within the carrier's normal investigation or loss-claim period.

European Union Orders

Orders dispatched from Great Britain into the European Union may incur import VAT, customs duty and destination-country handling or administration fees.

Shipping paid to Lifeless Chasm Records covers the postal service selected at checkout. Unless expressly stated otherwise, it does not include recipient-payable EU import charges.

From 1 July 2026, qualifying low-value B2C goods entering the EU are subject to a temporary €3 customs duty per tariff classification. Different types of goods within one parcel may therefore generate multiple €3 charges.

For example, a cassette and a CD can fall under different customs classifications, meaning the customs element may be substantially higher than for multiple identical items.

These costs can therefore be disproportionately high on small orders. Larger combined orders may offer better value relative to the fixed customs charges involved.

Where recipient-paid delivery terms are used, customs authorities or the destination postal operator will request payment directly from the recipient before delivery.

These charges are not retained by Lifeless Chasm Records.

Other International Orders

Orders sent outside the United Kingdom may be subject to destination-country VAT, duty, customs processing charges or handling fees.

Unless stated otherwise at checkout, such charges are the responsibility of the recipient.

Customers are responsible for considering local import requirements before ordering.

United States Orders

Royal Mail currently handles goods sent to the United States using a Postal Delivered Duties Paid arrangement for the applicable services.

Where US import duty applies, the duty and Royal Mail's applicable handling fee are paid by Lifeless Chasm Records through the postal service rather than being collected from the recipient at the doorstep. Royal Mail currently lists its USA PDDP handling charge as £0.50.

US customers should therefore not normally be required to pay those same import duties again on delivery.

Customs Declarations

All international commercial orders are declared accurately as commercial goods.

The actual merchandise value and applicable customs information are declared. Orders are not falsely declared as gifts or deliberately undervalued.

We cannot alter customs information to avoid lawful taxes or duties.

Unpaid or Refused Import Charges

If the destination country requires import charges from the recipient and those charges are refused or remain unpaid, the parcel may be delayed, returned, abandoned or otherwise dealt with according to local customs procedures.

Where an order is returned to us because the recipient refused or failed to pay applicable import charges, any refund will be considered only after the goods have physically returned to us.

Original shipping charges, return charges or other unrecoverable costs may be deducted where permitted by applicable consumer law.

Incorrect Addresses

Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery details.

If an order is returned because the address supplied at checkout was incorrect or incomplete, additional postage may be required before redispatch.

Where an address error was caused by us, we will correct it at our expense.

Missing Parcels

If a parcel appears to be missing, contact us with your order number.

Tracked shipments will be investigated using the available tracking record.

Untracked shipments cannot be located during transit. The investigation will therefore rely on proof of posting, dispatch records and the carrier's applicable loss procedures.

Customers may be required to cooperate reasonably with a postal investigation or provide confirmation of non-receipt where requested.

Payment Disputes

Opening a payment dispute does not prevent us from submitting evidence.

Where appropriate, we may provide payment providers, card issuers or marketplaces with order records, the selected shipping service, proof of posting, tracking data, customs records and relevant correspondence.

PayPal's current Seller Protection rules require proof of delivery for Seller Protection against an Item Not Received claim, so an Untracked selection does not give us the same platform protection as a Tracked service. This is one reason Tracked shipping is strongly recommended.
